Some of the sites that I found that use RSS feeds to their advantage are
NASS (National Agricultural Statistic Service) uses the service for both News and Coming Events. In the future NASS expects to offer an RSS material based on user feedback.
IBM has also created a website to aid e-businesses to globalize there business

Thanks for showing the usefulness of RSS feeds. Here I thought you only used them to get feeds from fun sites. Now I know that you can also learn from them. Thanks.

RSS does seem to be very useful, and I love how feeds are becoming more and more tailored to user feedback-- very cool!
I was looking at a friend's blog and noticed that she uses RSS to display current nationwide library news on the right side of her page. I hadn't thought of that... it's a good idea!
