Another informative article-- Thanks for posting it! At first I didn't understand how RSS would prevent phishing attacks, but the article's explanation that RSS feeds pull content directly from the company's secure webpages, and from ONLY those pages, made this clear. :)
I was also interested to read that the companies are now making RSS feeds much more personalized for specific users. This seems like a lot of work, although I guess that it must all be occuring automatically through algorithms based on which messages individual people actually click on within the feeds. Is this true?
Good article. I liked how it explained why links can be placed in RSS feeds and they would still be secure. It never occurred to me that RSS feeds would be safe from phishing. This is good to know and it will be interesting to see if someone finds a way to get around the security.
yes, the RSS feeds are preprogramed for specific users and I think that it is great that we don't have to figure out which links are safe and which are not for it is done for us :-)
