This article by Peter Cliff helps the user create an RSS feed, as well as describes what RSS is and why the user should have it. At the end of the article it also provides several the authors’ references, which provides the reader with even more information about RSS.

Thank you for this helpful resource for creating RSS feeds on websites/ blogs. Have you subscribed to any feeds yet? If so, which one(s)?

No I haven't, I am not in need of them yet, but I am glad that I have learned about them, so when I do need to subscribe to one I am more aware of what they are and what they offer.

Have you subscribed to any?

No, I'm in the same position that you are-- I am grateful to know what they are and how to set them up so that I can subscribe (or create a feed on a website/blog)when I have the desire sometime in the future!

I liked how the article described RSS as a way to consolidate news stories from different pages on a website into one RSS feed. This would certainly cut down on the need to visit the site frequently.

I have subscribed to feeds that talk about a wide range of information on the web. Although I don't read them every day, some of the provide interesting information--Boing Boing being my favorite.
